ONE ON ONE WITH ADAM MAGAZINE FASHION MAN OF THE YEAR 2009!

22 Jan

This week I had the privilege of talking to one of Kenya’s most fashionable brothers and a great Producer Vincent Ochieng AKA Vinnie!!
shot him 5 Quick questions and here’s how it went!!

1. What does fashion mean to you?
Being able to dress and look good in what you, as an individual believe in. It’s not always being caught wearing what others are wearing. Its about creating your own look and making the world wear what you wear or at the very least make them notice.
That to me is fashion.
Taking pride in how I look, owning my style and enjoying it no matter what others say.

2. What in your opinion is the worst fashion mistake men make?
– Baggy/ sloppy clothes….. surely put on something that fits well with you.
– Sagging pants…reall—y??
– Socks and sandals…… OMG
– Popped collars……come on, unless your 5 years old
– T shirts with stupid slogans……nobody’s laughing you know

3. What in your opinion is the worst fashion mistake women make
-Animal Prints ….ohh word
– Visible thongs and granny panties …..so un-sexy
– Scrunchies’ in your hair….unless your 80 yrs old
-Petticoats’…….so 1980s
– Uggs…unless you’re a teenager

4. What was the last fashion item you bought?
– My white BORN shoes

5. What would you never be caught dead wearing?
– Speedo’s
– Baggy T shirts and shirts

And of course i had to feature some of his looks!! I like 🙂

Adam Mag's most fashionable man 2009 - Living up to the title!

2 things we can take away from this interview:
1. I love what Vinnie said about owning your look- Fashion is an outward expression of an inner being and the best outfit you can don is confidence!
2. Really I do wish Men would just wear clothes that fit – always ! shape, silhouette and size – please 🙂

Thank you Vinnie xoxo

Yaay Vinnie! Spot on on the baggy clothes. I am thinking on one advertising exec who apparently thought he was a member of G-Unit for a while. The pics are in users, ask Nana to help you find them. Quite horrid. P.s. You never said anything about my scrunchies!!!!! Tsk!!!

I got my hair dresser to stop wearing those baggy things and once he did, he acknowledged his new look as well. I wish they all would.
