I love a man In a scarf – the last time I was in Paris and pondering a good gift for a really good friend of mine – I ended up buying him a scarf- which thanks to a little help from the weather in Nairobi – he put to good use!
thing is for men and women – do you know HOW to tie a scarf?? here’s a little how to help in case you wanna switch it up when you go out tonight..

# The most popular knot is called the Parisian.
# Short leather jackets look great with most knot styles.
# Colored and patterned scarves are a great way to add visual interest to your look.

Parisian Knot - Scarf

I love this knot but up until 5 years ago had never figured out how to do it! But its easy; take the scarf in both hands and fold it over lengthwise; drape it around your neck; insert the loose ends through the loop hanging in front of you and pull them through. You can play with the tautness of the knot and the thickness of the scarf by doubling the scarf lengthwise, if you wish – i like the thickness so I usually double the scarf lengthwise. This knot looks great on a short leather jacket with a notch collar left down. On a very cold day, you can tuck the scarf into the jacket and pull the zipper up.

To learn how to tie a scarf in a once-around knot, drape the scarf around your neck allowing one end to be longer than the other. Take the long end and bring it around your neck and let it fall over your chest. If you have a long neck, overlap the scarf in back just a bit so that most of your neck between the jacket and the base of your skull is covered.

The loose once-around knot is more about fashion and having the scarf with you “just in case.” Drape it loosely as though you haven’t the time to finish the job right.

Looks classy and and smart. Just roll the scarf twice around your neck loosely and you are done.

Just make a tiny knot at the back of the neck and let the scarf hang across the chest. What i do is fold the scarf into a triangle with the large side across my chest and the ends wrap round my neck then back to the front and under the scarf – no need to knot and looks great at the back too – just note it works if the scarf is an arafat or relatively long and triangle shaped.

And, sean, have you seen the Levi’s ex-girlfriend jeans for men. Ultra-super-skinny. My god, they’re as skinny as they get. What would you say about them?
